Description
Calathea Rufibarba Green
Most Calathea species are bought for their dark leaves with lines, dots and spots in a lighter color. The Calathea rufibarba ‘Tropistar’ has narrow green leaves, this underside is slightly lighter green and softly hairy.
The Calathea Tropistar has beautiful long narrow leaves. These leaves all contain a unique, usually feathered pattern.
Do water this houseplant regularly, but preferably in small quantities. The soil must be slightly moist, but the Calathea does not like to have its feet in the water.
Spraying will also improve the health of the Calathea. Especially in winter when the heater is on. With too little spraying, the plant can get brown leaves.
Place the Calathea Tropistar in a shady spot. With too much sunlight, the leaves will have brown edges.
When the Calathea starts producing new leaves in the spring and summer, it is wise to feed it with a houseplant food
